Concept art depicting a scene in the story in which Alex and Ida find something strange under the stairs.
Ida
Slightly younger than Alex, Ida is the bubblier and more sociable of the two. She doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind or express her emotions and is often very energetic and eager to explore. However, she tends to get herself into trouble as she often acts without thinking, much to Alex’s dismay.

This map shows the layout of how the first two chapters of the story are being adapted into game format.
Personal Project - crescent valley
Currently being developed in Unity, Crescent Valley is an adventure game with a narrative focus inspired by things like The Legend of Zelda, Mushi-shi, and Studio Ghibli.
The story follows Alex and Ida, two students living at a boarding school in a small countryside village, whose world changes when they discover something strange happening to the (un)usual wildlife.
The (un)usual wildlife
Inspired by animals from the Cambrian period, these creatures come out at night and have an intrinsic connection to the natural world.
Alex
The more mature of the two, Alex is a reserved, studious person who enjoys observing the world around them. Though they often tend to be anxious around people, they enjoy going on adventures with their best friend. On these adventures they tend to be more cautious and aware of any potential dangers so they always make sure to be prepared.
Game World
Crescent Valley is set in a fictional land largely inspired by my own trips to Wales. It is mostly countryside, with a few towns dotted around that the player can explore at their leisure as the story progresses.
